Adding a vintage ISA bus slot to a modern computer

isa slot adapter ISA to PCI adapter but there isn't any I recall a while back seeing an external ISA expansion box that would attach via a PCI or PCIe slot   Is the info in this thread correct? I need to plug an ISA card into a pci slot, is there an adapter that allows this?  Not so sorry to say ISA is dead I've got the same problem, an old ISA SCSI scanner adapter card I'll just keep it hooked to the older comp
